Does anybody know how to change the time-signature of a given "preset(s) Style"?

Example: (CVP-207): STYLE: [COOL8BEAT] 4/4

What I WOULD LIKE to do is CHANGE to "time-signature" from 4/4 to 3/4...if possible...

Any suggestions/tips?

Thanks so Much...Please reply back with info.

I'm lost on why you would want to do this, but it looks like it is possible.

Select your style (Cool8beat), select Digital Recording, Select Basic #2, then change the beat.

You cannot store the Style back on top of itself, but you can store it in the User folder, then select it like any other.

Let us know what happens and what you achieved by doing this.

This can't be done. You can change the default tempo or other stylistic characteristics and store it in the Use area, but when you try to change the time signature you get the message, "All sections must be cleared to set beat. Clear? (Yes or No)."

If you say "no" you will be back to square one. If you say "yes" you will have a STYLE file with the same name and a new time signature, but with no playing data. This is Yamaha's way of saying, "we have given you a great style in 4-4, but if you change it to 3-4 it probably won't sound good, and then you'll blame us, so we aren't going to let that happen. You'll have to create your own 3-4 style.

The truth is, you can't take a good 4-4 style and delete the beat 4 data in order to make it into a 3-4 style. Waltzes are a lot different than foxtrots (4-4 styles) with the last beat lopped off.:(
