I am the pastor of a small church that has a bit of an organist shortage. Out of sheer necessity, I have learned to make our CVP 301 think it is a Pipe Organ. I have also gotten it to believe it is a festival orchestra. I have even gotten it to be a choir although all it knows how to say is "Aaaah."

I currently use Finale 2010b to do this.

I would be very interested in knowing how to gain better control over reverb and vibrato.

CVP's are actually very common in churches.

I find the choir voices to be very weak. But there is an Ooooh voice as well. So you can alternate between Aaaah and Oooh to make it more realistic. You say you use it with Finale, but not how. The answer to your reverb and vibrato question depends on where you control from. Do you play the keyboard physically and have Finale record it, or do you enter notes in Finale and just have the CVP play it as if it were a sound card?
