Probably not many of you experiment with intros. and endings very much, but I use them fairly often in contemporary worship at my church for variety.
Anyway, tonight I pressed the intro. button + sync start and then played a triad for the key in which I was working just like I usually do, and I discovered something really cool. If you play a minor chord instead of major, it will give you the same intro., but in minor instead of major. It will do the same thing for the ending.
I began the song in Ab major with an Ab major intro., played the song, then instead of ending with the usual ordinary Ab major ending I pressed the ending button while on a Bb minor chord, and the instrument played the ending and ended the song in Bb minor! A welcome departure from the mundane and ordinary!
I wonder what would happen if I played an augmented triad to begin an intro. or ending, or a diminished triad? I'll let you discover what it will do if you do that!;)
