Hi All

This will be my 100th post so it is only fitting that is should be a good one.

The Beta version of the Yamplayer is here. For those of you that want to play your Yamaha disks on the PC or are fed up of changing the floppies over then read on.
This software will allow you to store all of your disks on your HDD and control your CVP from the PC.


Midi Magic


YAMplayer is a versatile midi jukebox for the Microsoft Windows platform including support for Win95/98/Me and NT4.0/2000/XP. YAMplayer's main features include:

Multiple midi file standards including:
· General Midi (*.MID)
· Resource Interchange File Format (RIFF) Midi (*.RMI)
· Karaoke Files (*.KAR)

Supports Yamaha’s proprietary E-SEQ formats including:
· Disc Orchestra Collection (DOC) files (*.EVT)
· PianoSoft and PianoSoft Plus files (*.FIL)
· Disk directory parsing for Yamaha diskette images

Midi output to Clavinova specific features:
· Fix-up for “Disklavier only” songs
· Automatic DOC to XG voice mapping
· User selectable or Automatic Guide Lamp channel

Other features include:

· Selectable midi output devices from any Windows media driver
· Player window with current song title, remaining time or elapsed time
· Playlist window for jukebox and song ordering
· Batch conversion of E-SEQ to General Midi
· Convert to GM “on the fly” (as you listen)
· Build playlist from directory tree or entire disk
· Extracts embedded song titles from midi data
· Export playlist to standard Comma Separated format (CSV)
· Drag and Drop support of songs, playlists and directories
· Powerful voice mapping and individual key mapping support

How can we get our hands on it. I searched Yamaha web site and could not find it.

You will not find it on any Yamaha site as it is a program writen by one of our members.

Please send me a direct email to magic_midi @ hotmail.com

You will need to remove the spaces ie magic_midi@hotmail I have to put them there as the address gets underlined and hides the underscore between magic and midi.

When you have done that I will send it on to you.

BTW During the design stage of the player someone said
"Oh no not..... Yet Another Midi Player"

So it became know as Y A M Player. It just so happens to fit in with YAMaha.

In fact it could be called EseqPlayer Dot Fil Player
