Hello All;

I received a 2 diskette set when I purchased my 208 last week, (208 to be here soon).

The diskette set has "Holiday Gift Set" and "Featuring Follow lights plus score & Vocal Impressions".

How can I view the score on my p/c. I have tried v/player and Scorch with no luck.

I would like to display and print the sheet music to play on my current CLP-150.

Thanks in advance...

If you go to the Forums, the Midi and XG, then look for a message from Midi Magic detailing a program called RipARoot - I think you will find this meets your needs.

Placing these Yamaha discs in your PC ordinarily prompts a 'not formatted error message', the PC wrongly thinks the disc are not formatted. The program above will allow you to overcome this, and transfer the contents to a destination on your PC.

Rich;

I am able to view and copy the files from the floppy to my p/c.

I am also able to play them, hearing the midi songs. However when I open them with Yamaha's v-player, the program says it cannot find the score.

Any other thoughts?

...thanks

Hi

Can you see the music in any other sequencer program? I have not seen the V-player program. What does it do? Can you download it?
If you care to send me a copy of your disks I will look into it for you.

Midi;

V=Player is "YAM" that is made by Yamaha Digital Music. It opens *.yem files. It displays the score as well as a graphic of the instrument being played to be used as a teaching aid.

It has the bouncing ball that follows the music.

Here is the web page I thought I got it from. I can see it there but the download link deosn't seem to work. I could have also got it from the cd that came with my CLP-150.

I will e-mail you outside this forum the files I am trying to use. I am starting to think the diskettes are promo use as I have not seen them for sale on Yamaha's web site.

...thanks
