Since the holiday season is upon us, I thought I'd post this. I recorded this rendition of Silent Night last year on my CVP-209. About a week ago, a friend from another site added vocals:

Silent Night (http://www.bradprestonmusic.com/cg_skinner_silentnight.mp3)

The midi is attached for anyone who might be interested (you'll find that in my usual fashion I paid no attention to the tempo settings, etc.).

Boy, the first couple of bars sounded like Willie Nelson was singing it! Great job.

BTW, the link to the MIDI isn't working.

Thanks, Wally! My buddy Skinner has an interesting voice. I really got a kick out of it.

I don't know why the upload didn't work, so I put the MIDI up on my site. Here's a link:

When I clic on your mid link, my PC alls up Windows Media Player and the sound automatically begins playing. But I hear only the piano part, not anyone's voice singing?

Am I missing something obvious? Just curious?

Hi Rich,

A MIDI file doesn't contain any audio data, just instructions for a MIDI-capable device to play. If you right-click the link, and choose "Save Target As", you can save the file to copy to a disk and play back through your CVP. The mp3 file on the original post has the audio track with the vocals.

Thought I'd give this a bump, since after all, it is the holiday season again. And I've been too busy to do any other holiday tunes this year :D
