I was able to download you earlier file (air.midi), but at least for me this download did not work. When I right clicked and choose Save Target As....it came up as a file named Attachment with a file type as document whereas the same proceedure in you prior post correctly came up with the correct file name and type?

Perhaps someone else can confirm if they have better luck? I did enjoy your first recording, thank you for the contribution.

We have not tried any recordings ourself yet so I don't fully appreciate what is involved. I have noticed that some member uploads are recorded all on one channel whereas yours was not. This is nice in that we can then see the score displayed properly. In recordings like this, do you record all the channels at once (using styles I presume?) or do you have to layer in some channels separately?

I have the same problem with downloading that file, so I'll hereby attach it again... I wonder if the file exstension has something to do with it, since there's both a dot before mid and before the IconID (The Yamaha Icon)...

Well, anyway, I hope it goes better this time - or else, download the file and rename it to got the .mid extension.

It may also be a long-filename thing... Shouldn't think so, but...

About the recording...

I was a bit confused about this, because at first, I couldn't get anything recorded. I tried both the REC button and the Start/stop in the style section (desperately...)... Then I think I read the manual in order to get that score-song unloaded (pressing top and REC simultaneously causes the song to clear...)... Enough about that...

When I've pushed the REC button, I make sure the songtracks 1-3 and 9-16 (suppose that's the rhythm/style tracks) are in REC mode. Then, I check that the style tracks on the style page is set to on. That's it.

Well, this is default, so I don't know why the 4-8 tracks are not REC (only ON). Well... I'll figure out, I hope.

By the way, which Clavinova do you have? I've got the CVP206 - got it yesterday! :)
