View Full Version : How to record the MIDI channels in a song?

Hi! :)

I've just connected my two instrument (Wersi Abacus KS1 (keyboard) and Yamaha Clavinova CVP 206).

My Yamaha is set up as master, and I transfer the organ sounds from Wersi Abacus (with the fabulous OX7...) back to the Yamaha via audio cables connected to the AUX IN of the Clavinova.

However, when I record a song, during recording, I can use the organ sounds from the Abacus (by activating/deactivating NOTE in the Function --> MIDI --> EDIT screen). However, during playback, this is not recorded, so it doesn't play it back.

How can I record my MIDI channels into the song? I want this because I'm about to send the audio to my computer for making a wave file. And I don't want to sit by the piano and trying to remember when to activate and deactivate the channels in the MIDI setup screen.

By the way, I'm also wondering how to record a sound connected to my left pedal into a song. During playback of a song recording, this doesn't play back, either. I'll post a topic in the CVP-area forum. I've selected Percussion as function, Symphony kit as kit and Surdo open as percussion.

I hope someone has a quick solution, I'm about to make two CDs until tomorrow! :)
