Does anyone know when the new CVPs will be available in the USA? I am trying to decide if I should buy now or wait.

The local dealer in Minnesota tells me that they'll be coming into the showroom around July or August. Whether that's the first they're available or the first that he's getting them in, I don't know. But hopefully that helps a bit.

Does anyone know what the new CVP's will feature or how they differ from the last model(s)?

If you go to the CVPUG home page and scroll down to the area below the survey on the right side of the page, you'll find a link to "Yamaha Announces the Latest CVPs." Follow this link to an article that will tell you the biggest differences between the newest CVPs and the earlier models.

At this stage it's easy for me to get confused. It sounds like the new models will not be out til next summer. Yet, I have seen some CVP-210's in the stores which have a USB port--which is apparently one of the features mentioned to be on the new CVP 210's. So are the 210's I have seen in the store the new CVP 210's that are referred to in the article.

You are correct, the new CVP 200 series is out this year, (2003).

I just purchased a CVP-208, (should be delivered next week).
