I am a new owner of a CVP-700. I purchased several Christmas disks and can not get it to play continuously. It will play the first song, then stop. To get to the next song, I have to manually pick the next song. Do you have any ideas??
Greatly appreciate the help.

Hi Yvonne

You need to push the FUCNTION then SONG SETTING buttons.

Then select SONG CHAIN PLAY to ON.

However, for some reason, on my CVP209 it turns itself off.

If anybody knows why this resets itself I would love to know.

I don't know if this means anything but I had a problem with the Clock function resetting itself every time I turned my CVP-900. The effect was that the auto accompaniment function would become disabled until I manually when into the control functions and reset the clock to either Internal or External, I can't recall which one. Then it would work fine until I turned the piano off and on having to reset again.

I explained the problem to my dealer who provided me with the USA disk to correct song titles, etc. After installing the USA disk, I haven't had the problem since and I would imagine that it may may have corrected a bug in the system.

I also believe that if you use Follow the Light disks, your chain play will default to the off value.

Don't know if this helps but it may be something to look into.

:) Thanks Mighty MIDI---I've had my 207 for three weeks, am too lazy to watch the video, and have been wondering if it were possible to play the whole disk through. The manual does not tell how. I really need to watch that video!

Why spend so much money on something and not bother to read the manual.

For those who can't be bothered the info IS in the manuel you can find it on page 137.

 A simple "You're welcome. I'm glad this board has been of service" would have sufficed. My reasons for not dissecting the manual are none of your business but relate to the bugaboo of modern civilization----lack of time.

Midi Magic—

I just checked my CVP-207, and when I set it to Chain Play "on" it does remain set to "on" after it has been turned off, then back on.

Has anyone checked this feature to see if it stays set to "on" or resets itself to "off" again?

Hi All..

Mine stays on, even after power off, (on my 208).

Hi All

Yes, mine stays on after a switch off switch on but for some reason it will turn itself off at some stage.
I can only guess it has something to do with a command within a Yamaha file. Maybe its that demo with the Guide function.
