xfer registration memory setups

i have a cvp-203. i copied a partial registration memory (using
buttons 1 thru 4) to the floppy disk, so that i can use these
settings on my music teachers cvp-98. for some reason her
cvp-98 is unable to read my floppy and apply these setting
to her 1-4 registration memory buttons. i there a conversion
that needs to be done?

A registration memory is realy a "snapshot" of how the CVP is at any one time. Imagine you have taken a photo of your living room, now you go to your friends house with all of your furniture and photo and try to put it back in exactly as the photo. You can't. This is because they are two different rooms in two different houses. Also, your friend can not understand your photo only YOU can read the it.

For much the same reason, the CVP 203 is nothing like a CVP 98.
