I am planning to purchase a CLP-150, and I am trying to decide where to buy. My local NYC dealer offered a sales price of $3,000, plus tax, which includes delivery/setup.

Does anybody know where to buy online, or from another state, or Canada? I was hoping to get a somewhat better price.

Thanks,
Julia

Julia:
I recently purchased a CLP-150 on behalf of the church where I am organist and we paid $2195 for the rosewood finish, with matching bench, delivered and setup at the church about 30 minutes away from the dealer. I was told that the list price for this piano was $2500. Looks like you should check around for a better price. I was also told that the mahogany and cherry finishes add $100. Were you quoted the CLP-170 by mistake because that model runs in the $3000 list price range?
P.S. This happened late last year and there may have been a price increase for 2004.

Ken,

Where in the Boston area did you purchase your clp-150? I am in the Boston area, as well. I went to a local dealer who quoted me, not $3000, but $3200 for a clp-150?!?!? Seems to me that I'm talking to the wrong dealer!

Thanks,
Kat

My local dealer in Mpls had a 150 on sale for $2795. If you get in touch with the Keyboard Centre in the Toronto area, and you're willing to have it shipped, you can probably do better.
Call Pat or one of his colleagues at (905) 639-4465.
