Hi everyone,

I've just posted a new recording you may like to listen to at:

http://richardchild.co.uk

'And I Love You So'

All the instruments are from the CLP-170... and the piano is also from the CLP-170, played by myself.

I hope you enjoy it...

All the best,
Rich

I guess I have a bit of a mixed reaction to the song you posted. On the one hand, I very much enjoyed both the amazing vocals and the instrumental work you put into the song.

On the other hand, I'm now terribly depressed about how limited the talents of my own household are relative to what you have shown can be done!

Nicely done, Rich - you have a terrific voice! And recording with the Clavinova is a ton of fun.

Thank you Rich and ClavinovaGuy :)

Rich, my own contribution to the recording were vocals and the piano part. Band-in-a-Box provided the rest of the 'backing', via the Clavinova (just in case you thought I did everything). Do you own a CLP or CVP?

ClavinovaGuy, you're right... it was fun! The Clavinova also produces a great sound from the Aux-outs... didn't need to tweak any EQ or other settings.

I'm now itching to re-record Blue Moon and Help Me Make It Through The Night with that wonderful piano sound.

Thanks for listening,
Rich

Rich:

Nice job! and great vocals as well. I haven't experimented much with the recording aspect of the Clavinova and I must say I was very impressed by your songs. I assume the vocals in Someone, Someone were created using the Vocal Harmony feature?

Someday I've got to break myself away trying to learn all the other features and concentrate on the recording potential.

Thanks and keep up the good work.

Puldem and MWiseguy,

Thank you for your kind comments. :)

There's no vocal harmony feature in the CLP-170... I record the vocal harmonies track by track on the the hard-disk recorder I'm using. Adding the harmony vocals is good fun...

For anyone interested, 'For The Good Times' and my latest recording 'Take My Heart' both utilise the CLP-170 for all instrument sounds.

There's another song there called 'Baby Stay With Me Tonight'... this one only uses the piano sound from the Clavinova though.

Thanks again for listening... I hope you have fun exploring the recording potential of your Clavinova MWiseguy.

All the best,
Rich
