This floppy subject seems to enter into the area I wish to explore regarding play along piano styles and back up music. There is a couple of artists that I quite enjoy their style of playing the piano they are Phil Coulter, and Giovvani, their fill in music is just perfect for the melody they are playing on each particular portion of the C.D. What I wish to do is eliminate the artist from the track and pesonally play in place of them using the back up music that they use. My CVP 209 is less than 2 years old ,, regarding the USB ports and other technology terms I am not up to speed with what is what, all I wish to do is get those musical arrangements onto a floppy that my CVP can read,, and personally play the Piano in sequence as the artist does, How would I go about such a thing Many Thanks for the opportunity to ask,, Geoff

Geoffrey,
I looked up Phil Coulter's song list on tthe web. He has over 200 songs on the list; some are traditional songs others are his and some are Scottish songs. "Many can be searched out on the Web as MIDI files with MID extention. These can be played by your CVP209. Most are cheezy, some are great. To improve the usefulness of the files get software for your computer to edit the files so the melody tracks are MIDI channel 1, 2 or both. This will allow you to mute them to play along with the accomaniment.
Good luck,
John
