We all need inspiration and insight at the keyboard from time to time. Roger Williams, undoubtedly the most famous and most recorded popular pianist in history, has a wonderful web site that all should visit. Roger turns 80 years old on October 1, 2004, and will play a 13-1/2 hour piano marathon concert at the Jimmy Carter Library (this is also Jimmy Carter's 80th birthday). Roger still maintains a published concert appearance schedule (!).
At the second web site listed below there is a 19:51 (video running time) interview with Roger, which is available in streaming video or as a downloadable, savable file.
Roger appears frequently as guest pianist at his home church, the Crystal Cathedral in Garden Grove, CA, where Robert Schuller is pastor. This is where I met Roger and heard him play in 1996.
