I am planning to buy the CVP-307. Browsing the web, I noticed that it is selling for ~$4,500 worldwide. I don't think that I would buy such an instrument over the web. So I am willing to pay more to buy it from a local dealer. But it will be great if someone can tell me what is a reasonable price to pay in the US (other than the list price of $8,4xx).
Thanks,
Ayman

Also I had the same problem. I did not want to buy CVP 307 over the web. The better price on web that I had found was 4090 euro, the best one that I have found to Rome 4300 euro. To the end I have bought in a store of Rome the cvp-307 to 4300 euro.

I've been doing some price shopping. PianoDepot has the 309PE for $5971 and the 307 Rosewood for $4569. These seem pretty low to me.
Does anyone have experience with PianoDepot or its sister companies like piens.com or boxymusic?
I wonder whether they are selling pianos with US power and instructions or whether I'd end up with something requiring a step up transformer.
Anyway, perhaps these numbers are useful when going to the dealer??

With PianoDepot, though, you have to add several hundreds of dollars for delivery. (for the US, at least)

I thought I remember seeing an email where PianoDepot will no longer ship to the US. Has this changed?

I think their restriction is on specific manufacturers, not on the US in general:
Taken from their website--
"Note : We do not ship nor sell Roland, Edirol and Boss items to the U.S.A."
The list of countries they state they will not ship to is (once again, taken from their website:
"Albania, Algeria, Angola, Burundi, Falkland Islands, Central African Republic, Christmas Island, Cocos Keeling Islands, Comoros Islands, Cuba, Iran, Iraq, Liberia, Libya, Sao Tome And Principe, Somalia, Western Sahara, Sudan"
Which is unfortunate because I am a Somalian Falkland Angolan Sudanian with roots in the Cuban Burundian Republic of the Coco Keeling Islands...oh well...
