One of the things I would like to have on the Clavinova would be a VGA output instead (or in addition) to the video output.
I was pricing a small flat-panel display and find that one that a 15" flat panel display sells for about 200 dollars, but a flat panel television with video connection sells for about 500 dollars.

Another nice reason for a computer display, is the ability for the computer display to put itself into a low-power mode when no information is being sent to the display. You therefore don't need to always turn off the display when you are done playing the piano.

tlhaze,

If you do a search on the term "video out" by "sp.k." you will find a thread which is somewhat related to your post and deals with a video/vga converter. A post in this thread by Midi Magic on 12/11/2003 may be quite helpful.

On my CVP-209, I used NTSC to VGA scan converter and a 19in LCD. It's good for Karaoke.
