Hello everyone,
Does anyone know the difference between Graded Hammer keyboard and GH3? GH3 is the newest keyboard technology (supposedly)...but can you tell the difference when playing it?
Thanks.

As far as I am aware, the difference is that the Graded Hammer (GH) keyboard's keys are weighted the same right across all the keys. The GH3 keyboard has 3 grades of weight; heavier at the lower registers and lighter at higher registers. This is supposed to simulate a real piano keyboard more accurately.
You can easily tell the difference if you play the plain GH keyboard immediately after playing a GH3.

Hi,
here are descriptions for both - you will be able to tell the difference within the text:
88-key Graded Hammer 3 (GH3) keyboard
The GH keyboard uses a weighted mechanism and grade-weighted keys which grow gradually heavier from the top of the keyboard to the bottom, exactly like a grand piano. Unlike conventional digital piano keyboards that use springs or oil dampers to simulate a piano feel, the GH keyboard uses weights and mechanical linkages to achieve outstanding realism. Each key features a damper mechanism with two velocity sensors that enables rapid playing of a single key without the break in the sound that occurs with conventional electronic pianos, improving the sound of energetic passages. Each key also has reduced spring load to absorb the shock during play, reducing the strain on fingers.

Hope that helps...

Hello,
Thank you so much for the explanations. So it's safe to say that CVPs and CLPs with the GH3 keyboard will be more realistic and closest to an acoustic grand piano than those with GH keyboard?
How about the products with Natural Wood keyboard, do they apply GH and GH3 system?
Thanks.
