I have been trying to download midi files to play on my new CVP208 and have not been successful. When I go to a free midi site and click on a song it pops up in a media player and tries to play. This is not what I expect...I want to be asked questions about where to save the file so that I can put it on a 3.5 floppy.

Do I have a setting wrong which causes the default to be the media player instead of download options?

Also, besides XG files, is there a specific midi file format which plays best on the cvp?

Thanks,
Chuck

Hi

Instead of klicking the left mousebuttom on the midifile, click the right buttom and save destination to file.
Its as simple as that, try it you'll see what i mean.

Kind regards

With embedded lyrics and chord info, XF files are superior to XG.
