usb upgrade for 205?

Hi there! Anyone know if one can replace the floppy with a usb port? Preferably without requiring a masters in computing!

Even with a masters in computing it can't be done. The legacy floppy drive is IDE which uses a specific device embedded controller and IO driver built into the CVP's operating system. USB is an entirely different bus standard and is not supported by the computer built into the 200 series.

Essentially you're asking if the square peg can be removed and the resulting square hole can be made round. Life would be so much simpler if computing was more like woodshop ;)

What do you need USB for?
