I have just ordered a CVP309 and it is being delivered next Thursday. The CVP will be delivered in a box and I will have to attach the legs myself. My 209 was from a showroom and was fully assembled so I have not had to put one together before.

Other that the obvious step of reading and following the assembly instructions is there anything else I should be aware of or watch out for. Does anyone have any good tips or would like to share their experience of unpacking and assembling the CVP.

Thanks

Howard

Hi

Assembling is very easy.
You'll need someone to help you to unpack and assemble it.
The peaces are to heavy to be handled on your owne.
A used an old carpet to work on to avoid scraches.

Agree that 2 people to build is easier.

If you open the manual first (I must admit that I am usually too hasty to ever read manuals) there is some useful advice. The manual I got was for 307/309. If you go to the back (page 206) it gives instructions on building the machine and connecting the floppy.

If you have coped with an Ikea purchase you should not struggle too much. Would be careful to avoid scratches and use towels on the floor while connecting the legs etc.

Also when running the IAFC at setup - it is a bit loud so choose a sociable hour if the neighbours are sensitive and avoid external noise when running this.

The 309 looks really nice - hope you enjoy it!
