QUESTION- How do you download the free Xmas song?
I'm connected and registered, and the demo of the song plays. But when I hit the button "Get My Free Song", it just goes to a list of other Xmas songs that you can purchase. NO other clues given, even after signing in.

Hi,
the tune 'A Jolly Old St. Nick' should be the first song listed, and it shuold say 'FREE' next to it. It's a zero cost product, so if you select purchase it will download for free - I hope that helps.
Enjoy!

oh,
and regarding styles - song styles are very very expensive to produce, not to mention the licensing - so, you may not see song styles, however, you will see more styles soon!

THANKS! That was the ticket. Incredible instrumentation using the CVP 307 voices in big stereo.
Not related to the holidays, but listen to the sample of "Eruption" by Van Halen. Incredibly acurate and mind-blowing.

Thanks Steve,
Every Yamaha-branded XF file is painstakingly programmed. Check out the Sting selections, especially Fragile. They are amazing.
Take care,

Hi John,
IDC is Yamaha’s acronym for Internet Direct Connection.
This is a special feature on all 300 series Clavinovas. You can connect your new CVP-307 to the Internet via broadband (wired or wireless). This connects directly to the Yamaha Music Download site where they have over 7000 superbly crafted MIDI songs.
This special web page is designed to be viewed on your 640 x 480 screen. All the widgets line up so that you can easily use your navigation controls on your Clavinova. This makes it very easy to download MIDI files specially programmed for your Clavinova without having to use a Computer.
The XF MIDI files with scores, lyrics, and chords sound better than any free MIDI files I have heard. They cost $5 a piece. Well worth it!

Always a pleasure CountJS!
The XF files programmed by Yamaha’s musicians are absolutely top-notch and I have sampled thousands of MIDI files over the years. I was blown away the first time I heard them rendered on the CVP-309GP. The sound quality was incredible. There is no equal for the Natural voice on the 309.
I was a die-hard Korg fan for all these years using the M1, O1/WFD, Wavestation EX, N1R, SG-Rack, TR-Rack, and Triton-Rack. Later I added a couple of Yamaha Motif Racks to get the superb acoustic instrument samples. They helped a lot in making the most out of my MIDI files. But nothing came close to what I heard from the 309-GP. The sound engine on this beast is a class apart. The XF files make the best use of them.
Today, I am a convert. The natural voices on the 309 smokes the Tyros, Pa1Xpro and every other hardware synth I know.
I will be attending the CES in Jan. I feel it would be a bit hit if Yamaha brings a CVP-309 to its booth and simply plays back some of the XF files. This will be a treat for the 120,000 plus CES attendees and help spread the word.

Absolutely CountJS!!!
I will be over at the Yamaha booth first thing on Thursday morning, Jan 6th. I am also hoping to see a successor to your RX-Z9 flagship surround sound processor with HDMI connectors. That will seal the deal for me.
I will send you a PM in a few mintues…
