Yet another offer...Price help please on a CVP-301

Local store now quoting me $3,000 on a new CVP-301, includes delivery, bench and a few starter lessons. This after offering me $2500 on a CVP-202.

Thoughts on relative values, pricing?

after some on-line pricing research, i called yamaha dealers in my driving area. here are the initial prices i was quoted:

jackson,ms 301 @ $3800; 305 @ $5900 - 220 miles
memphis 301 @ $3387; 305 @ $5395 - local
little rock 301 @ $2800; 305 @ $4300 - 130 miles
jackson, tn 301 @ $2695; 305 @ $3895 - 80 miles


i talked to the memphis dealer a second time. while not happy about it, he thought it over and agreed to meet the jackson, tn price in order to get my business now, and in the future.

i'm going to buy in memphis, which is where i live.
so, it pays to be an informed buyer and negotiate.
