Hi
How and where can I upload a large amount of styles.
I got +- 3400 styles in my computer, all of them .sty files and they work on cvp models.
Its about 85mb and thats to much for an attachment file with this post.

Carl: I'll try to get them online then you can take what you want, if it dus not work out I'll sort the mexicans out and mail them to you.
Tom: I can't dump 80 mb of styles on the cvpug site,
Wally would shoot me if i did. and its unpractical one post will only accept files up to 50.000bytes 48,8kb

You can use the one built into windows XP.. (either in IE, or the command shell one)
In IE make sure folder view is selected (somewhere in options -> advanced).
Then just connect to the ftp server by going to the address
"ftp://username:password@ftp.site.com"
-OR-
use the command shell version
in the command shell type
"ftp ftp.site.com"
input username, password, then type
"type binary"
then to upload a file type
"put filename.zip"
and let it sit there for a while it may take a while for an 84 meg file. After it is done, it will say something like "completed transfer in ... seconds"
Otherwise, aceftp is freeware for windows, and looks pretty much like the commerical ftp packages from what i've seen.

Connecting to //ns3.oddbite.com on port 21. Attempt 2 of 3...

I have the CVP-5, and I just downloaded this file. Can someone explain how these styles are used on my digital piano. I really would appreciate any help. Thanks so much.

Sounds kinda old...
#1 does it have a floppy drive?
#2 Does it support styles?
On a modern cvp., you copy the style to a floppy (or the piano itself over USB on newer models), select it, press the acmp button, sync-start button, and play a chord on the left hand side of the keyboard.
