A great feature of the 300 CVPs (and perhaps earlier) series is that each voice has it's own demo riff of about 5 to 10 seconds.
I know it's a long shot, but does anyone know of a way to capture these riffs, either via midi, score display, or even guide lights? Some would be fun to learn. Right now, the only choice is leaning by ear....also fun, but just takes a bit longer.

Hi
No problem
Start the sequencer "record" now press the demo instead of playing yourself, Its now recorded in the sequencer
If neccesery assign the guide lights to the track you just recorded
Kind regards

HI Eric-
Great advice......it worked! That's certainly not in the owner's manual.....
On my CVP 307, it took a few times until I pushed buttons in the correct order.
First set the SONG RECORD to PLAY/PAUSE.
Second, select the VOICE you want
Third, hit the PLAY/PAUSE to start recording
Fourth, hit the DEMO button for the voice and it will be recorded
THANKS!

Hi
Did you know that you can do it with parts of a style in the same way more or les.
If you like the intro of a perticilar style for example you record it to to the sequencer, reassighn the guide lights and so on....
Kind regards
Eric

Hi ericho,
thanks for this good advice. I had the same question yesterday and then came your practical advice. I tried it out immediately and it works fine. I wanted to play the little epiano-demo-riff of the tremolo-epiano. Now I have the score and can play it easily.;)
