I had my wife buy me this for Christmas: (It's a total blast!!)

http://www.yamaha.com/yamahavgn/CDA/ContentDetail/ModelSeriesDetail/0,6373,CNTID%253D21546%2526CTID%253D500946,00.html

Call me "Pinocchio" cause I got no strings - No piano strings nor guitar strings.

My idea is to slave the Guitar to the CVP (via ext midi clock), hook up the microphone and LCD projector and have some crazy, no talent needed, jamb sessions!

BTW, if anyone is looking for a great way to lay down a realistic sounding rhythm guitar track, this may be a great solution for under $250.

Dan,

Yamaha had the EZ-AG, EZ-EG guitars on display at the CES show. The guitarist was having too much fun showing off what this EZ-AG toy could do. You can strum along with your right hand, you can play only your left hand or right or both while the band follows you.

This is a perfect learning tool for a beginner or simply to have fun.

At the end of the demo, I won a T-shirt from Yamaha for answering a simple question - what is the model name of this guitar?

So did you end up integrating the EZ-EG to your CVP?

I did, but not without some pitfalls...

It turns out the EZ-EG's on-board sequencer does not start playback correctly when externally synched. It works fine in "Demo" mode but when I put it in "Chord" mode (automatic chord progression - all you do is strum), the darn thing starts one beat behind the CVP!

I suppose I could insert an extra beat on the CVP's copy of the sequence, but I couldn't figure out an easy way of doing that.
