usa v3.0 307 user voices

The so called USA Edition Version 3 upgrade adds 47 user voices to the 3xx series cvp
would someone on the other side of the Atlantic be so kind to mail them to me, I want to try them on a cvp208

Don't hold your breath. If they use mega voices then they will not sound right for us 2xx users.

I know Midi, the ones based on the megavoice samples wont work at all.
When I was messing around with the tyros uservoices on my 208, aprox 85% worked perfectly
Some did not and I suspect they where based on the megavoice samples
I also try to edit the bad ones but the 208 said "Illegal data" ....hehe :rolleyes:

I suspect most of the 307 uservoices will work on the 2xx's but not all of them.

The last time I counted, there were 46 new voices, not 47.

Hold you bread MIDI unlike the tyros voices these all work on my 208

They come in 3 directory's 46 voices for the 303 or 305 or 307

the ones for the 307 showed some flaws
the ones disigned for the 305 , 303 sounded the same and where perfect.
It must be that the 307 has some effects that the 208 is missing I gues

Oh, and by the way, can someone else confirm that some of these USA v3 voices sound truly horrific? Like the organ Gimme Some - it sounds only a bit bad when you play a single note, but play a chord - yuck! Same for Roadhouse and British Rock. Also a few of the guitars do the same thing.

Are these just poorly made voices, or do the instruments they're replicating really sound like that?

those organ sounds are intended to sound like that

This sound is what happens when you hook up a 1970's electric organ to a distortion/electric guitar prosesor "a whawha box"

Some people love those sounds
