Wish list compiled from other thread...

1. Replace the SmartMedia slot on the front panel with a multi-card reader/writer for CompactFlash, SD/MMC, xD, Memory Stick, SmartMedia, Microdrives, etc.

2. Provide a few (4?) USB 2.0 ports on the front panel.

3. Replace the floppy drive with a CD-RW or even a CD drive.

These modifications will greatly improve the usability of a CVP.

I don't really mind the SmartMedia slot; but whatever slot(s) they use, they should include a card and an extra USB card reader (to use on a computer). Everything you need to transfer files back and forth to the computer should be included!

I think they should have USB ports both places: up front for easy connections, and down under for more permanent connections (networking, etc.).

And, I wouldn't mind a piano light power out plug. How many versions of that would they need? :)

Hi

Well, to do an upgrade I think they should provide

1 A computer
2 A smart card
3 A Smartcard reader
4 An Internet connection with Broadband (as it is over 6Megs as it would take forever over dialup)

How can I do an upgrade without any of these?
Maybe the dearler would give you a home visit?

Maybe, someone should speak to Yamaha and ask them to send out a smartcard with the upgrade on, claiming to NOT owning any of the above.

I wonder what they would say.
