When I purchased my CVP-205 last fall, I immediately when digging in my closets and attic for my old sheet music books. I had not taken them out in over 10 years.

Well, of course, it seems that I can't find all the books/songs I used to have.

I play mainly relatively contemporary stuff (Beatles, Billy Joel, Elton John, Journey, etc.) and I'd say I am a pretty good intermediate player (and getting better now that I have my CVP!)

I've purchased a book or two from my local music store. And I keep looking at sites like SheetMusicPlus. What gets me is that individual songs are $3.95!!! And sometimes I don't want to buy a book if there is only 1-2 songs in there I want or don't already have.

I wish there was a "used" sheet music store, where I could buy old books and songs at a decent price. Maybe we should start one.

So I thought I'd ask you all whether you recommend any good places for sheet music and whether you buy songs or books and what kinds.

For some reason I have a hankering to play the old Styx song "Lady". I used to have it and can't find it. Or a good piano version of the Stones' song "Angie". And I can't find my copy of Journey's "Faithfully" anywhere either. Anyone have copies of these?

Well, I thought I'd tell you all that I found the answer to my problem. I've been buying a lot of sheet music off of eBay. there is a huge Sheet Music/Song Book category there.

I stumbled upon it about a month ago. Since then I've purchased a bunch of books and songs from there at good prices. I recommend going to the Sheet Music/Song Book category and then searching for certain artists and bands.

As I indicated I was looking for replacements for sheet music I had lost a long time ago. Since then I've picked up copies of Journey's greatest hits, the best of Styx, the Beatle's Let It Be, the songs from Oklahoma!, and recently picked up the best of the Kinks. You really can't buy these used anywhere. I am very happy with my purchases.

Thought I'd pass it along.

Hi Sean

That sounds like a great idea. I think I'll go check out what I can find at EBay. Thanks for letting us know about this.
