Does anyone know where I can get a technical manual for my CVP-307?

Yamaha's customer service phone number 1-800-776-9262.

There was some talk right after the intro of the 300 series, that the new tech manuals were on CD ROM and they would only be sold to dealers and their repair tech's.

I hope it isn't true and you are successful in getting one. Let us know how it goes.
Has anyone ordered one yet?

I'm guessing here, but I'm wondering if PianoGirl is actually looking for a manual that might be more in technically in depth on how to use & program the instrument rather than a "repair" technical manual. Is that correct?

I'd actually like to know how everything works and is put together. But I doubt if they hand those out to just anyone. I wouldn't mind having a better owner's manual.

Dear pianogirl,
please put your questions and post them here, because my experience with the manual is, that you learn everything by doing, and the cvpug members are experienced enough to answer nearly any question...

Pianogirl,
The Technical manuals do indeed show how everything is put together, including a complete set of schematics plus instructions for performing diagnostics, if that's what you were looking for. The 207/209 manual price was about $35 as I recall. Don't know what they are charging for the 300 series or even if us peons can get them.

The DVD's put out by MidiTainment are very helpful. The current series specifically cover the 200 models but most of the topics are generic enough for the 300's.

Another good source of info is the Yamaha PSR site.

If you are looking for a "Clavinova for Dummies" type book, we're all still waiting for that.

I have all of the basic manuals. I would love to see the schematics! That's what I really would like to have.

Then you'd be happy to have the Service Manual for your CVP. You can order it from Yamaha Customer Support. Should cost you around $40 USD.

I can't seem to find the right customer support web site. There are several.
