I've tried to use a registration from a Tyros on my CVP-305 but it failed to work (load error..) Is this due to a file error or are tyros registrations not compatible with the CVP?

Hallo Caspar,
normally the tyros regs should work on your cvp. But it may be that there is a compatibility problem, because the tyros has three parts for the right hand and the cvp only two parts. What kind of reg. was it? What are you looking for?

It was a registration of a performer that I found on a website. But not very important. I was only curious if it could work on my CVP because I read in other forums that a lot of people (=tyros users) uses the registration more than the Music Finder. It's seems to be more easy to change and add registrations than songs in the Music Finder.

Registrations are unique to each instrument.
Style files transfer sans problems.
Music finder files can be converted with freeware programs.
The best you can do with registrations is hook up the two instruments via a midi cable. You press each registration button (R1 to R8), and the receiving instrument will do a reasonable job of translating the registration. You still have to manually adjust them afterwards.

Okay, that's clear to me!
By the way, not everyone has more than one instrument, so to hook up two instruments is VERY unlikely for a lot of people... :p
