Are there people who are using registrations for the CVP-300 series? The music finder is a nice piece of work but a lot of (modern pop)songs are not included. Perhaps they're people who have made registrationbanks for other songs. I found only TYROS-users doing that (these registrations are unfortunally not compatible with the CVP-300 series.)

I found I used three methods for playing songs on the CVP. In every case, I play from music; playing by ear is not one of my fortes.

1. Quick and dirty: Hit the piano button, and start playing. Nothing could be quicker.

2. Music Finder: I love the music finder. You select the song by name, and the instrument is immediately set to play the song the way you want it (mostly): tempo and style with OTS. I have about 2800 songs I have the sheet music for, and created a music finder for about half of them. It was great to pick up a book, and start playing virtually instantaneously and song the way you want.

3. Registrations: Styles, even with OTS, don't do everything you want. They don't change key, don't set the volume control, don't play the song in the registration order you want. For important functions (weddings, Christmas, etc.), I created a registration for each song. Trust me, you can spend a lot of time creating registrations. But once they're done, the results are very impressive.

Hope this helps.
