This is a song a friend of mine, Bob Wilson, wrote about a year and a half ago, and I finally wrapped it up tonight. He sang on it, I played piano, drums, bass and acoustic on the CVP-209, and a couple of guitarists pitched in with an electric rhythm track and guitar solo. Another guitarist was going to provide the bass and acoustic tracks, but had to back out, so I wound up noodling those out on the keyboard as well. Kind of a fun bar-tune type song - hope y'all like it:

Hi Brad,
a very nice tune. I like your piano playing, it fits very well with this tune. The voice of your friend Bob Wilson reminds me back to good old Tom Petty. Probably the Guitar solo could have had a bit more "Heartbreakers" drive... but after all I like the song how you finished it. Which painovoice of your cvp did you use (it sounds a little bit like a piano in a western saloon and fits very well into the mix)?

Thanks much, Andreas! For the piano track, I layered the Natural Rock Piano (volume 83) and Live Grand Piano2 (volume 63). I boosted the middle and low end EQ a bit when I mixed it.

Hey Brad!

Very Nice!!! I like the smooth chord progressions around the part…

“Sometimes things are so right when you want it…”

The broken chords really match the aforementioned lyrics very well. I agree with Andreas’ points, too.

Best,
Jayson
