Hi
Just rename the file extension.
In Windows Explorer rename e.g. the style file mystyle.sty to mystyle.prs
If you have not unchecked "Hide extensions for known file types" (or something like that) in Windows Explorer, do it.

Hi
My 209 reads sty files. Check to see where they came from, as some of the 309 / Tyros files are just toooooooo large to fit into the 207. I have the same problem with my 209. The max file size the 209 will take is about 70K

Midi Magic : Thanks for your guide. I took the styles from the CVP user grup. I will send you some examples, they are in STY and Prs. My CVP can´t read them. Supouse to be for the 307. Carlitin.

Hi
I have copied and unzipped them to a floppy and they both work fine.
What error messages do you get?

Hi Carlitin,
I've tried your "bolero" style; -the file is in .prs format and it works fine on my CVP 307.

Hi
As bassclef said the bolero style is a .prs. When I put it in my 209 it did not see it. This maybe because I had the other two .sty files on the same disk. I changed the file to .sty and it worked fine.
Please check that you do NOT have a mix of .sty and .prs on the same disk.

MidiMagic : Thanks a lot for your orientation. You are right, if I try to put in the same floppy disk a sty and prs styles, the cvp crash. and if I try to put a CVP 307 Prs, the 207 don´t like to read. so I need to change to STY format and all is OK. now I will try to read in direct from my laptop using the yamaha UX16 USB .
Thanks to Jorgen and Bassclef. Carlitin ;)

Hi
I have written a software program (Rename Style Files) which can help you rename all your styles to sty extensions.
Go to http://home7.inet.tele.dk/js/rensty/index.htm for information and download.
The program can change all style files in a folder - including optionally all subfolders to this folder.
Regards

Hi
For playing MIDI and Styles you can use (among other possibilities) my program "MIDI and Style Player" from
http://home7.inet.tele.dk/js/mandsplay/index.htm
Notice that the style will not sound exactly as played back at yoyr keyboard, as the CASM data is not interpreted.
To configure your system read
