Hi Folks:
Hopefully an easy, quick question. I have an M-Audio Audiophile USB external sound processor with midi connects, and I'd like to connect it to my CLP-170. Looks like i need two cables with male DIN connectors on the ends. Where is a good place to get these?
TIA,
Jim

Jim,
What you are looking for are "MIDI Cables". You can get them at most any music store that sells digital equipment (pianos, synths, etc.). If for some reason you don't have a store near you, I believe that you can also get them at Radio Shack (they may call them "5 Pin DIN Cables").

I see that the 170 also has a tohost (usb) connection.
I believe that you can also use a single USB cable and that will appear in your midi SW as an additional midi interface (ie an additional port and channels).

To clarify (mikemilton), the To-Host connector and USB connectors are two different things. The To-Host connects to a serial port (RS-232/COM port) whereas the USB goes straight to a USB port.
But yes, a single USB cable could suffice...
